Breathable Air Compressor 20 January 2012 Rand-Air was recently asked by Island View Storage to provide an alternative to the breathing apparatus Island View Storage employees normally use when cleaning out and maintaining tanks that contain noxious chemicals. For safety reasons, they require maintenance personnel to use breathing apparatus sets. The breathable air compressor provided by Rand-Air was ideal from a number of perspectives. Firstly, the fittings that come standard with the units are fully compatible with the inlet valves on the isolation suits. Further, the compressor is more than capable of pressurising the suits and producing the required levels of clean breathable air needed for the duration of the task —just over threeand-a-half hours.
